Our American Hero's
A year ago, when Army Staff Sergeant Jonathan Herst was on leave from IRAQ (25th Infantry) he came to Silver on the Mount for some custom tattoo work. Vince and Jonathan talked and Vince gave him a Silver on the Mount T-shirt. Jonathan said he would get a photo wearing the T-shirt back in IRAQ and send it to us. We would then publish the photo on the web-site to show our support for our guys over there. We never got the picture so we were worried about him. Then on March '07, to our relief, Jonathan showed up at our shop to get a tattoo of the Purple Heart he had received. He had lost his left leg below the knee when surprised by a roadside bomb.
Jonathan now has "Hero Status" at Silver on the Mount Tattoo.
Thank you Jonathan for your service and bravery to our country from all of us from Silver on the Mount. Thanks all veterans as well, all of you that have been giving your best to keep this country the land of the free and the home of the brave.
